Our Work

Our goal of the project is to design a system that evaluates two image detection technologies in terms of how well they match similar images after transformations.
Our motivation comes from that we want to know the effectiveness of the image comparison algorithms to protect users’ safety.

Solutions

The overall design of our system, as well as the detailed designs about both the engineering and data science components.

Results

Take a look at our finalized results! These include our the working system and also the delivered report that presents the prototype of the system dashboard.

Benefits & Future Work

After months of working, we managed to have brought certain benefits to our sponsor. We have also concluded a few directions of the future work.

Team

We are a team combined with well-rounded skill sets in Data Science, Machine learning, Software Development, Project Management and User Experience.

Huan Wang

Software Engineer

"We are glad to have learned about the new technologies throughout the process, such as .net framework, dependency injection, Azure function and blob storage, etc."

Lizzy Chen

Software Engineer

"One of our takeways from the project is that when designing and implementing solutions, it is necessary to consider the actual industrial and business needs including flexibility and scalability."

Chiaoya Chang

Data Analyst

"The whole working experience has been amazing! We were able to collaborate with different experts, enhance repositories management skills, improve coding styles and people relationship management, etc."

Yajie Zhu

Project Manager + Data Analyst

"We also learned a great deal about system design, including how to separate business logic, select approaches and understand the tradeoffs."
